Glide through the river in our exciting kayak paddle event, indulge in delicious offerings from local food vendors, and cap off the day with a spectacular fireworks display.

Paddle Event

Kick off River Fest with a morning paddle hosted by Visit Loudon County and the Tennessee RiverLine.

When does the paddle start and end?

The paddle will start at 10AM. If you are taking the complimentary shuttle, please arrive no later than 9:30AM. The nine mile route will take approximately 3 hours to complete.

Where do I park?

Paddlers can park at the Ferry St. boat ramp in Loudon. A complimentary shuttle will take passengers to the boat launch below Tellico Dam. The paddle will end back at the Ferry St. boat ramp in Loudon.

Registration & Equipment

A limited number of double and single kayaks, paddles and life jackets will be provided. Register in advance to reserve equipment. Registration fee is $10. There is no fee to register if you provide your own equipment.

This is a rain or shine event.

Where can I view the paddle route?

The paddle will begin near marker 601 just below Tellico Dam and will end near marker 592 at the Ferry St. Boat ramp in Loudon. You can view the river route via the Tennessee River Line map.

Schedule of Events

9AM River Paddle

9AM V-Dubs on the River under Hwy 11 bridge.

5 PM Vendors Open for Business (Food, Crafts, Displays, etc.)

5-9 PM Wet & Dry Inflatables by BB’s Bouncers ($10.00 Armbands) Youth Train Rides, Tea Cups, Face Painting, Duck Pond, etc.

5:30-8:30 PM Cool Down Zone with the Loudon Fire Dept. Prepare to get wet, the fire truck will spray every 30min.

5:30 PM Academy of Dance Arts Ensemble Performance

6:30 PM L.H.S. Cheerleaders Performance

7 PM Loudon County Sheriff K9 Demonstration

7:30 PM Loudon County Education Foundation, Banking on Education Drawing, 3 - $500 prizes, Tickets $20 ea.

7:45 PM Mingle with Jackie  Leonard as Elvis.
